Title: December 2017 Murrays Firing Pin Raffle
Post by: Loose}{Cannon on December 02, 2017, 04:09:11 PM
Heres how the raffle will work.

Each $5 will get you 1 chance in the hat for the drawing.  If you spend $20, thats 4 times your name is entered into the drawing to increase your chance of winning.

Raffle prize is a brand new, never used, USA made 922 Compliance Spring Loaded Firing Pin kit for the sks donated by its creator Ben Murray of Murrays Gunsmithing.

For anyone that wants to get in on this raffle, you do so by going to your profile and select 'actions' then 'paid subscriptions' and select your amount. This will take you to Paypal. You can also simply click here.  :) http://sks-files.com/index.php?action=profile;area=subscriptions

If you would like to participate and are not able to use paypal, please contact an admin or mod to work out another method.

If/when you buy an entry, please post here in this thread and let us know how many entries your in for and that we know who you are.

In addition.. if you are currently not an sks-files contributor with access to the Clubhouse board, serial databases etc you will be after buying an entry.  All amounts gain lifetime status and do not expire. All proceeds go to the boards hosting and domain fees to keep this site alive.   Lower 48 states enter only please, I cant ship this stuff to Canada or half way around the world due to crazy international shipping costs.

Raffle will run until Dec 20th 2017 when the winner will be drawn.

Guys... when you buy a chance in the raffle.... please post here so I know what your board name is and how many chances you bought.   All I have is actual names from the PP invoices unless you do this.

Picked up 2 draws. Even though I live in Canada, I would pay for the extra shipping cost. Bought 2 firing pins from Murrays last year and was impressed.

Well I got it swapped out in my Yugo and that was straight forward and simple.  I finally got to the range with the rifle with the firing pin in it this past weekend for an SKS range day and it worked flawlessly with both Wolf and Tula ammo.  Excellent!

The Murray Firing Pin pin is in the rifle in the middle;

Thanks!  The stock is a modified TimberSmith stock.  I modified it to add the groove for the bayonet.  To me an SKS just doesn't look right without the bayonet.  I did a little slide show video fo the modification here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eC3BW5PaTK0

Cool vid, I have done similar things to that with saws...but never to anything but plastic stocks. Once I did it to a Ramline by just sanding a groove with a dremel.
I just got router...now I am tempted to play. :)

I agree, SKSs just look naked without them. I have two that won't accept them without sagging...so they get the bubba treatment...the rest are proper.
