Back From The Dead 511
« on: October 18, 2017, 09:32:06 PM »
I grew up shooting a Remington 511 just like this (father still has it), but this one my father picked up in REALLY bad shape for $50 at a gunshow a few years back.  Knowing that all the action parts are cross compatible with remingtons like the 513T and 521T etc, he got it for parts and was stripped down to a rusted barreled receiver and stock.

Eventually, I came across most parts to bring it back to life. I refinished the stock, sanded and blued the barreled receiver, and took a 513T bolt that had a broken handle and re-welded it.  Might do a Black oxide on the handle....

Anywho.... here it is with a 15 rounder I found laying around that needed tweeked also. Headspace checked with my 22lr gauges and test fired.  Shoots great.   wink1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.
