When the '64 spiker is feeling like a slut...she sheds her normal clothes and puts on a little black dress.....



She has an old Tapco non railed handguard modified to fit a Chinese tube...



She has a blued Albanian unserialed bolt carrier, because she likes to be discreet....



She also carries around an Albanian bayonet, just in case someone tries to get fresh in dark alley ways....



She's a naughty, naughty girl....



No original parts were harmed for her night out on the town, here she is back in her Sunday best.

It wasn't bad, I just used BC Super Blue....getting it out into the light, it looks like I need to do it again, it looks almost black in person...but the photos reveal a little less than what I am shooting for. 

I thought it turned out pretty good for one application...hopefully another will do the trick.

That hard of steel and polished smooth... it wont take it well.  Need to sand blast the sucker, ar maybe soak in vinegar to etch the surface.

Looks good Justin.  My eyes keep going to the stock ferrule and my mind thinks "wait a minute, that ferrule is in the wrong place!"  I've got Alby on the brain looking at this one with the bayo and carrier. 

I think she looks great!

BC super blue never gets parts dark enough for me OP. Use BC blueing paste, that'll get'r pitch black in all lighting.

By the way, that's one sexy woman ya got there. Handguard ribbed for pleasure & all. I'd let her poke me in a dark alley way any day

Thanks guys...a noticeably warmer response than I would expect had I cross posted (which I considered for a laugh) at that other place.

I may try the etching with vinegar thing...no access to sand blasting.  The paste might be a better option too.  If doing it the normal way with another application doesn't cut it, I will certainly give it a shot.  I think I may have screwed up using cotton balls to apply it, depending of if there was anything on them to 'treat' them.  I boiled it, degreased with acid, rinsed with cold water....dried and heated it with a hair dryer...and then applied the Super Blue with what likely were lanolin treated cotton balls.

All that being said, looking at it both inside and outside...it looks great, the photos just seemed to reveal what my eyes don't.
