As soon as I saw that mag adapter with a maple leaf....I was prepared to hold my breath until Marcus chimed in. Glad I didn't....it took a lil longer than I expected.
I would really be interested in just how heavy this thing is...there is an awful lot of added weight, especially just for flip up sights. I have one of those quad rails, I can only imagine how much the magwedge and the pirate adapter add. With all that weight, if it was a Phoenix Kicklite stock, I would think the recoil would feel like shooting a 22....only louder.
I kind of like some of the parts used, but perhaps I wouldn't go the route of using all of them on the same gun. It almost has a Hi-Point carbine look to it. Do the separate top rails line up to where you could use a variety of optics mounted between them? I don't recall seeing anyone using the quad and the magwedge, but I do seem to remember someone wondering at some 'other' place whether they would line up properly. The SKS to me anyway, looks a little funny with a scout mount...even when using red dots or reflex sights...the ability to move it over the bolt carrier would be a nice option.
I dig the modded bolt carrier too, not that I am lefty....but it is a pretty slick mod, and from what I can see looks pretty clean too.
I am gathering the materials for a bubba project, this gives me a little food for thought....and reminded me of that quad rail that lives in a spam can with a bunch of other unused parts. LC gave me an idea of what to do with that cowbell I have somewhere in the garage...
