Dude!  That's a stamped gun!! From an arsenal other than [0138]!!!

1971 is what I make out as the S/N prefix.  Phenolic stock too!

Where is this gun?  Is it for sale in Canada somewhere?  Posted on another board?

The stamped receiver SKS is highly sought after by collectors. Especially those who can live with a gun they probably ought not shoot...at least too much...for mechanical reasons more than anything.

The fact that it looks like it has been living in that phenolic stock for some time...its from a factory not known for making stamped SKSs...is particularly intriguing. It not being in the US to have had bubba a chance to put it in one of those stocks...is likely.  Not impossible...but less likely.

If anything, a phenolic stock on a stamped receiver makes sense....and it looks like it was shaped to fit it even...unless that is a variation of the phenolic I havent seen yet.

Very cool. BUY IT PBBBBLEASE!!

The auction just previous to the [145] shown has another stamped receiver, albeit it's a [138] arsenal. Didn't know if you're still pulling pics and recording SN's for these RM?
