I am not sure about this one, but with some that have that "protrusion" on top of the stock towards the rear where the rear of the reciever dust cover would most likely rest against would not permit you to remove the dust cover while the reciever is in the stock. So, to remove the dust cover to get to the internal workings such as recoil spring, bolt and bolt carrier, etc. you would have to remove the reciever from the stock each and every time. My brother had a stock not like that one but very similar with that "protrusion" and it was a pain and hassel to deal with. And because of the pistol grip, it was also difficult to get to the locking trigger latch locking pin to remove the trigger group.
