Here is my Mauser Eagle L.  Like the Eagle F I discussed in a earlier thread there were two inspectors at Mauser L and F.  At some point the L inspector left Mauser and replaced by the F inspector.

I have had this for a couple of years but have never shown it here.

Did inspector L continue into 1945?

Did inspector L continue into 1945?

No (not sure where the L Inspector went) only the F inspector was at both Mauser and Sauer in late 1944 and 1945 until early April 1945.  Also the C Inspector stayed a Walther and Sauer until the end of hostilities.

Thanks. Part of the enjoyment of collecting is learning about all of these clues to when and where a firearm was made. Great stuff  thumb1
