AR pistol vs. regular handgun

Okay hypothetical situation; All for grins and giggles.

Which would you rather have or which do you think would be of better service? Assume this is not for carry purposes. Could be home defense, plinking, truck gun, etc. but not planned as a carry gun.
Also consider accuracy into the equation.
An AR pistol in 9mm or a Glock say either a 17 or a 19?
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

I'd go with the AR pistol. For fun and cool factor and I would think more accurate. I'm assuming it would still have about a 10" barrel, even in pistol format and the mag well makes a nice support hand grip.

+1

Truck gun and overall plinking fun?  I think the AR pistola would be a blast.

I'd go the Glock route, but with a carbine upper and a Glock lower....Best of both worlds.

I'd go with "none of the above" if it were an option.  I'm not a fan of the neutered AR pistols.  I'm also not a fan of the 9mm, if something else is available.  I just don't get using a 9mm in a rifle designed for 5.56x45mm.  As I stated in another thread, I'm thinking about building an AR pistol and it's not going to be a 9mm.  I also find it ridiculous that the costs to build one in 9mm are 50-100% more than one in 5.56x45mm.

As for a semi-auto handgun as per the second 2 options, I already have my perferred option.  That's a HK USP in .40S&W.
