That's right!! Shot show news being released as we speak. They are skirting sanctions by opening up here in the USA.

Shazam!
Headline? "Concern over Kalashnikov Concern Production of Kalashnikov"
-
What would be awesome is if this drops AK prices to Hi-Point levels...so I could consider one. Any time I think about AK's, I consider that I could likely get two SKS's instead...and then do.
I doubt I would mess with any of the optional calibers though, unless they make a 54r version. drool1

Sounds good...really! But I'm wondering how long this will last with a regime in Washington that is hostile to firearms.

Best news of the day, thanks for posting.

When I think about this a little more I'm not sure it's that great (my CT residence aside). The ban is on firearms or ammunition made by Kalashnikov Concern or any subsidiary of/entity owned by KC, etc. That ban was on the import of KC products, correct? So if it's made on American soil it doesn't fall under the ban because their is no importing going on but it seems like king Barry would pull out his executive order pen and update his royal decree to cover any KC products, no matter where they are made. He doesn't even have to issue a new royal decree, he just has to add a sentence or two to the existing one.

But... that wouldn't create jobs. DOH, wait! I must have just had one of my Repub "moments". :-\

Carl I didn't want to be guilty of urinating on any parades but something like this is what I was thinking! We all know what a sneaky butt-wart "King Barry" is.

Yeah, I felt bad after I posted it but it was too late. Sorry if I peed on the parade. May I be flat wrong about it.

Carl I hope I am wrong too and the KC does very well here. I always expect the worst and hope for the best and trust NO ONE in the regime!

So apparently "Kalashnikov USA" has nothing to do with the motherland "Kalahsnikov Concern" as per an interview recently released. It is RWC co that bought the rights to use the name and have no formal connection with KC other than that name.

UPDATE: Kalashnikov USA spokesperson Laura Burgess said the firm will announce their “South Florida” location in a few days.
Their deal is nearly concluded. Kalashnikov USA’s president is doing the final paperwork.
As to when the firm makes the move, Burgess said, “We are hoping, if everything goes right, it will be at the end of August or beginning of September. Right now they’re located north of Philadelphia. I know they would sure love to be in a nice warm place before next winter.”

A modest start and I am not thrilled about the offerings, but Arsenal has competition now.
