consecutive number Yugos in Crate
« on: June 07, 2017, 09:11:28 PM »
Yugo M59/66a1's They are all in consecutive order, and bluing seems to be near %100. All parts are stamped not electro-penciled, with the exception of the assembly numbers in the usual locations, including the penciled number in the safety cutout on the stock.
I also received all accessories 10 each of: ammo pouches, oil pouches, slings, cleaning kits, oilers, and Log books serialized to the rifles. An added bonus was the ported GL's.  These where purchased from Classic in August 2015

Very nice!   thumb1
Are they numbered consecutively by import serial number or by manufactured serial number?

Super boss. I'd like to build an SKS crate similar to that for the range/transport. PAX

I just picked up a Yugo for my son for a Christmas present and I picked it out of a crate (they had 3 crates out too) of consecutive serial numbered rifles.  If I had the money I'd have bought an entire crate.  Even got a matching number log book for him.  I only hope he's as psyched about it when he opens it as I am right now.  :)

These ones definitely appear to be some sort of rearsenaled or refurbished rifles though.  They have the I class SN indicating they were made in 1972 but the stocks seem newer with a different style butt pad with no facility to put in the cleaning kit.  So even though the stock SN matches the rifle I think it's a newer replacement one.  Still they look great and I think he's going to flip. :)

It's boxed and sealed right now so all I have is the pic I took at the store to send to my wife when I bought it.

They are asking 500 for them which I know is pretty steep but I liked the idea of picking out the one I liked myself and having the instant gratification.  I had considered ordering a Yugo from Classic Firearms for 429 and paying the 20 hand pick fee but again then I have to pay shipping and a transfer fee and it wouldn't have ended up a whole lot cheaper anyway.  This way I knew there would be no shipping SNAFU's that would make it not get here by Christmas.

Bob78 has some good info on these......... if I remember from what he has previously stated, these are the practice/drill ceremonial rifles........ where did you see a crate full with consecutive numbers? .......... on second thought don't tell me,or else the only presents under the tree this year  would be a big crate........and I don't think the family would appreciate it as much as me!  rofl
