526 Type 56
« on: May 04, 2018, 08:09:36 PM »
Stopped by the LGS on the way home and found this on the rack. I checked the numbers and took it home. It's quite clean with a stock in nice condition. The bolt and bolt carrier are probably factory replacements that were numbered during refurbishment before export, given the different font. Rear sight ladder, gas tube and gas piston are EP'd matching. The /526\ seems to be missing much of the horizontal line for the "5" and "2" but the stamp is so distinctive that I can't see it being anything but 526. It's also a "letter gun"  rofl K suffix on the SN.

Anyhow, hope you enjoy!

Hey....  where is the newly stained wood fence?   bat1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

I never knew.....Jon came out the closet :o rofl2

Sand it, stain it, refinish it.. it would be worth........1 billion dollars thumb1 chuckles1

Dat's real nice thumb1 wish our local shops had or would get some nice orginial ones, but alas, they all get and have those horrid folding, scoped, donkey dong magazine all flopping around, wrapped in Tupperware things. So, I just go look at the Glocks now, it's the same difference.

526, that's not an overly common one is it?
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

We have our share of Polythene Pam and Plasticine Porter SKSs here too...”press 1 for ignore”...I guess if I keep buying the good (wood) ones quickly the consignors sitting on one or two will keep consigning them  think1  thumb1 :))

Yeah, /526\, just four years of production recorded in the serial data, not a high annual production arsenal (or “sub-arsenal”) either, so uncommon. However, I will not go down the rabbit hole of collecting arsenals  didnt do dash2  :))
