More of my Romanian fetish

The red one, I got years ago, when they first hit the market, the Quik-Site rings were toted as a direct fit due to the groove size was non-standard size. They have been on there for about 10yrs, and still tight. I tried a standard ring set on the tan rifle, after much trial and error they ended up in the woods behind my house.

The tan one was a get it out of my shop special which I was only so happy to oblige the owner.. Seems now, these things have become hard to find, and have gotten pricey, mags are somewhat expensive, and it seems ones stamped "Made in Taiwan" don't work as well. Much like an SKS, these also have a butt stock trapdoor with a cleaning kit, the cleaning kit is much like a miniaturized SKS cleaning kit. The rear sight has 3 blades, one for 25, 50 and 100, with the 25 being fixed in place, the other two are selectable, it is also slide adjustable for windage.
I was asked recently about the barrel stamps, UMC-2 and I checked and found I had two different barrel shank stamps, UMC-2 and IMC-2. I haven't checked as of yet if the mark is tied to the year made, or if it was two separate makers, the red stock is a '74 and the tan stock is '77.
