ATF dealings?
« on: January 24, 2023, 03:39:13 PM »
I figured this was as good a place as any to park this. I am "thinking/considering contacting the ATF and inquiring IF I can get my adapters manufactured "out of the USA". I keep hearing, "pennies on the dollar", if I do. Also, inquire if I can ship to Canada. However, I am a bit nervous to open that door to them. Any suggestions guys?

May bring up compliance issues, but my speculation is 'if it's not a compliance counted part and the SKS remains at 10 or less, then you will be okay. After all, the mag (which contains the compliance parts) will still be US made.

As for shipping out of country, they will probably refer you to International commerce department and you will have to become or work with an exporter.
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Not really in the market for one, but being made outside the US (China?) would make me less likely to buy one.

Just my opinion....... :)

It won't be China even if it was free.
