1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

That's a beauty!  8)  Great wood and bluing on that heavy barrel.  Those sights look like they'd be excellent. How are they in practice?  Love my M44 but have never seen an M144 before.

It makes you wonder how large the barrel on a .30-06 would need to be to have the same barrel od to bore id ratio...well, it makes me wonder in any case  :))

I think the sights are the same as your 44...  Cant remember.  In any case, they work well enough for what they are.  They are no Redfield Palmas, but good enough for this rifle I would say.

Oh..  These boys are bigger then the 44.  You need to pick one up.   :)

These took over after the 44...  1949-1960.  thumb1

I may just have to.  My M44 is my wife's favorite .22.  What's the price range on these.  As reasonable as the M44s or more pricey?

There are a few 144 variants, I have a 144-LSB, it's the latest and last of the 144 line, there is also a LSA variant, both are a commercial variant.

And  the barrel question , probibly be like a 4 or 5 inch howitzer tube with a .30 cal hole in it.  Tote that around ya target boys... rofl rofl fart1

Mine ain't tapered. Same girth at the reciever, as at the muzzle.
