I'm getting a SKS, and how would I go about removing the brake??? Looks like it twists on, and is pinned.
Quote from: WilliamBray on January 16, 2020, 07:06:09 PMI'm getting a SKS, and how would I go about removing the brake??? Looks like it twists on, and is pinned. There's no way of knowing without seeing it since it is an aftermarket add on. Most of the ones you see are not attached securely, so it would be a matter of unscrewing the set screw...or you can shoot it and it'll most likely fly off Alternatively, if someone threaded the barrel on their SKS and got a threaded muzzle brake to attach to it, then it'll depend on what type of die they used to thread it. It could be right handed thread or left handed (to accommodate AK family brakes).
Knock out that pin.
If you're going to 86 it, I'd be interested. You never know what Bubba might need PAX
