I was given one of thesehttps://www.amazon.com/BSA-30mm-Red-Dot-Scope/dp/B000N8MZOI (https://www.amazon.com/BSA-30mm-Red-Dot-Scope/dp/B000N8MZOI).
How would one go about mounting it on a 10/22 or am I in the wrong forum?

It looks like a picatinny type rail mount would be needed, IIRC it should be predrilled on top of your receiver to accept a rail. Pick up a rail for a 10/22...screw it on...and clamp on the scope at the desired eye relief, which with a red dot, essentially whatever gives you the largest sight picture, with the least visible amount of the tube.
The rail should be pretty easy to locate, even locally. It's a pretty common gun...a local sporting goods shop may have one. They are pretty inexpensive IIRC, then again...I bought my last one over 20 years ago. :)

It's not one of my favorite rimfires.. but, I do own one :) I used regular Weaver top scope mount bases to attach the optic.

I have an extra 10/22 rail.
It's been painted grey, likely to be a closer match to a stainless rifle.
I do NOT have the screws for it, but they're cheap.
You can have it if you want it.
That being said, it might be easier just to order a rail and screws online: https://www.amazon.com/Monstrum-Tactical-Picatinny-Scopes-Optics/dp/B00ME813MA
