Hungarian Mosin
« on: April 29, 2015, 03:22:45 PM »
A few events led to me and my pa' trading mosins, he got my Polish & I got his Hungarian, so I figured I would share.

Stock has been redone, but looks nice. Good piece of Beech wood for sure. Pics really don't do it justice. Bore is in perfect shape, and only mismatched part is the bolt, which has the Cugir stamp on it meaning it is Romanian.

Gonna be a fun shooter, pretty excited to take her to the range and send out a few shock waves

Here she is,

For no particular reason, the non-Russian Mosins have always escaped me, besides the Americans...
And I've always wanted a Romanian or a Hungarian or Polish. It's just never come thru. How does that happen?

Are you joining Hippie in next in line for Mosin God status or what?

Oh for shame, you have royaly screwed the pooch... You broke the golden rule :o:

Some mastermind coined the phrase:
The only way to avoid Mosin #2, is to avoid Mosin #1....

Next comes,  hi, my name is worm, and I am an addict. thumb1. Armedhippie in the front row answers, hi, worm..... rofl

Don't try to talk yourself out of it,  denile is the first sign,  next you'll be rubbing it hiding in the dark closet, cycling the bolt when you think no one is looking, and sleeping with it.....
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

Man there's a lot of Hippie love going on in this post!  I didn't realize he was well on his way to 'Mosingod'© status.  See what happens when you fall off the wagon?  You get run over by it!!!  chuckles1

Hey Mitch, are you and your dad both happy with the deal?

rofl rofl rofl rofl  Eeewww "Hippie Love"....Now we're gonna have to soak this whole post down in bleach.... :P

I definitely did "dive in the deep end" first before learning the doggie paddle. You can thank the Finns for that 1.

lol just was at the right places at the right times I guess. In the same day yet! Must be beginner's luck.  ;)

^^^^ This right here. I was in the right place right time on more than 1 occasion. With out yalls great advice and multiple posts on mosins ...I wouldn't have had any idea that 1 boat paddle was different from another. Beginners luck was definitely involved... Course since that 1st Finn got me hooked... I have now searched every LGS and Pawn shop within a 40 mile radius  rofl2.

Yall can blame my Polish on GM....I do  thumb1

Just look at the grain on that Polish. Ya know ya want 1  thumb1
Now come'on RM ya can't say mosins don't give ya at least a semi-chub  rofl

Thanks Worm...Now I'll have to be on the look out for a Hungarian... rofl
