So whats the deal with all browning parts being so expensive?
Got this at an auction 10 or so years ago (back when CZ 75 were around 100) For 230 shipped. The barrel is shot out, trigger is terrible, and no grips. Where would you start first.
Grips - on order
Barrel
Spring kit
Hammer / sear set to improve the trigger pull
aftermarket dovetail sights (dovetails need to be cut)
Im guessing this will be a 600-700 dollar project

I think I'd get it together for a shootable function test to make sure everything is where you want it before you pay for cutting the dovetails.
You've got a pretty good jump on everything so far. I'll assume you're gonna stone all the trigger parts while you've got them out.

Larry, i did function test it a long time ago. It ran well with a mag worth of ammo. I do have the stones that i did for my 1911 built, but the main issue is the trigger take up which i think im just going to throw in a decent sear with a matched hammer + springs to get her down to a decent trigger pull weight.

I did get a price from Novak to cut dovetails and install sights at 220 which i thought was fair. The local gunsmiths near me want close to 275+ sights for the same deal.

Its amazing how quickly things go when you have all the parts. Had to take it apart a second time and file down the safety to match the new sear. After i put in a new barrel it will be finished.

Thanks! trigger is 100% better than before had to replace a few parts that were worn out.

Holy cow!
You do nice work.

appreciate the compliment larry, but its just throwing parts at things. I doubt i have anymore skill than most handy people. I love to fix and build things in my spare time.

Very nice, well done! I see one of them HiPower in my near future.

I appreciate your modesty, but that's a bit more than just throwing pats at something. I can do that.
You not only tossed parts, you sought out the proper ones, then hand fitted them, then you refinished the whole thing.
That's an enviable skill set.

I'm with Larry, looks like you did a little more than put a few parts on it. But whatever the case it's looks amazing. Fine work!
