Monte Carlo stock means the numbers definitely donít match. The numbers on the steel components may match, though thatís fairly rare on Romanians.

So, you must be the guy that outbid me on GB for the Cugir Romanian SKS in the Choate stock? Actually you didn't outbid me I stopped bacause I decided I didn't need it right now, LOL.
If so, that is going to be a nice 1960 Romanian rifle for you and the sling should be correct for the SKS and worth  $75-$125. If you are wanting to restore it I may have  Romanian stock available for it. Then all you will need is the bayonet and cleaning rod.

Is this it? https://www.gunbroker.com/item/899194609

yes sir,,someone came in late to bid and gave up,,was that you ?? i enjoy this site looking these rifles up and talking about them but my real aim is to amass the same rifle and ammo over time for self preservation .the reliability is my goal. the prices are through the roof ,five ,six, seven hundred easy everywhere ,flea markets and they go fast.we must also remember the purchasing power of the dollar is dropping all the time so a hundred dollar bill isnt what it was in the 80s..i call gun and pawns and gun stores within a hundred mile radius and no sks rifles anywhere, thats saying something to me,,eh?? last one was in a very small pawn was on loan ,never returned ,sick..yes i am interested in your romanian stock and all,,thankyou

Yeah, I started bidding because there was an all matching one up on auction as well that needed the sling. I was thinking of buying bother to complete the one then I would decide what to do with the second one. But then I saw the other one had jumped up over $700 so I quit bidding on the one you got. Glad I did, we usually try not to bid against each other here when we can help it. Sorry I cost you another $30, LOL.

Are you sure we are talking about the same listing then? I just looked and it still shows it as finished and sold at $480. Are you ak7025 on GB?
