North Korean Type 63 -
« on: March 05, 2018, 05:26:42 PM »
Hello fellow board members - I hope you're all doing well and may the collection be massive!

May I present – North Korean Type 63 – Serial no. 0125 –

I think the collecting community got together and decided to “give” me this one – Thanks Matt & Todd!

Gun was listed on Gunbroker – I was assuring myself that I would be flung so far from last minute bidders – I woke up early to watch the auction and went back to bed happy as a clam!

Gun was brought back by WO-1 Gerald A. Carpenter with the 23rd Americal Infantry Division –

Sad to report WO-1 Carpenter passed away April 2017 – Mrs. Carpenter is in the care of the state of NY – Thus the state conducted an estate sale –

The documents were taped around the buttstock and were subsequently removed by the state –

I hope I've posted enough pictures -

I am really happy with this bring back but sad news is also abound -

As I got this rifle I learned that one of my mentor in the field of Vietnam bring back has cancer -

Bless him with the time he has with us all -

Thanks Carls -

@L-C - I don't know either - Perhaps because it was listed as a Russian - But you all are very keen with that - Or folks are just tapped out with so many NKs recently becoming available -

I have an NVA that is listed as Chinese on the docs -

@Dino - Everything function as it should - Barrel is beautiful - I won't be shooting this one though -

Which is correct...  See, even that guy knew better then to believe the NVA milled exact clones of a T56 in a rabbit hole or straw hut.   thumb1

Sorry....  Had to say it.    :))
