I know ine thing.... Wolf brand 22lr is made by the same co as SK and is some of the best match 22lr ammo there is.
Wolf .22 doesn't have much to do with any of their centerfire ammo. It's made by Laupua (Finnish company, .22 plant is in Russia), who as you stated, also makes the SK brand. Just like most brands, they have different standards of ammo models. Wolf and SK are considered mid-grade match ammo, which is still pretty damn good.
As for our SKS ammo, I have been shooting the Tula since owning both my SKS'. My LGS sells it for 6.99 a box, and when WalMart has it, it's 5.99 a box (of 20). I usually just re-buy what I shoot each week. I've shot the hollow points too, and as previously mentioned, the little hole it the tip is kind of comical.
I was having feed issues with the Norinco, but it was the 20 round star mag that was the cause, not the ammo. However, when I was having issues, the "flat" end of the hollow points did cause more problems since we have no feed ramp. But once I put a stock 10 round back on, I have had zero issues with the Tula in ether gun. So it was never really the ammo's fault.
Concerning the Tula/Wolf thing, if I remember reading correctly, there was some issues with the primers not long ago, and I think the Wolf has switched to a different primer brand than the Tula? I could be wrong, but that's what I read somewhere.
