Cutaway Polish TT-33 trainer
« on: October 28, 2019, 12:49:23 PM »
I picked this up last fall about this time... and I finally got some photos, hey...life gets in the way. I'm known to find and buy some weird firearms, and this one fit the bill nicely. It's a Polish TT-33 cutaway trainer from 1954. These were made from service weapons, modified and used to train troops on the operation of the pistol... and something one doesn't see floating around a shop everyday. And like a regular firearm, it gets logged, cutaways are not exempt from C&R or FFL's, due to the fact it can still chamber, and fire........if your stupid enough to. I stuck a snap cap in it, and it drops the hammer like it should if it were complete. One thing I haven't figured out, I have found no import stamp, if they are regulated like a weapon...where is the import stamp?

And hey, the bore is pretty nice on it.. oh....yeah... guess you could see that. :)

I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

That is really cool!! I like those and want to pick one up someday but at the moment I'd rather spend the money on a "complete" firearm. I think these are worth collecting and apparently others do to due to the price they usually go for.  thumb1 thumb1

What I tell my wife on a new purchase I make when she asks.  My response is, "Baby, I have been having that for a long time.  I showed it to you and told you about it well back when I got it."

I used that one, too.
Eventually, I found it was just easier to get rid of the wife......

I was like that at one time a few years ago.  At one time I had as many as 21 different SKS rifles from different countries, different years, etc.  Russian, Romanian, Yugoslavia, Chinese.  Times got hard, medical expenses got big, very little income coming in, so I had to sell them off to pay the bills.  Still have 1, a Chinese ghost.

That is very cool  8)

It’s sufficiently skeletonized that you can actually see all the operating aspects of the pistol  thumb1

I’d stay away from hot loads, it may not support them  think1 doh1

No +P in the P32
No +P+ in the P32.
That particular P32 makes my PP pulsate passionately in a peculiar pattern........ :o
