Finally brought a spotting scope (SV Bony)

(1/1)

newchi:
For some years ive wanted to make life easier than shoot, walk 100yds, look at target, walk back to bench etc.
Particularly as i set my bench up in a field and only shoot in the winter, the snow really makes walking there and back a pain in the rear.
I found a guy called Moondog R&D on youtube, who actually points scopes at things and takes them to a range.
Long story short, after much video watching, I ordered a SVBony SV28 25-75x70.
It was $100 cdn, so super cheap.

I tested it today, at 100yds, super easy to see 7.62 holes in the target.  Even easier at 50yds.  I dont have any further targets set but it does a good job of enhancing the neighbours barns 2 miles away.

It even has a cell phone adapter thing i havent used yet. Maybe so you dont have to look in the eye piece? It also has a bag and a tripod, i wouldnt put the tripod in the bag with the scope personally.

But if anyone was looking for something inexpensive for this kind of purpose i would recommend it.

Heres that guys video.
