bough a Chinese military surplus chest rig. has some mold on areas. how do you remove it? thank you.

Throw it in the wash with your wifes 'delicate' load.   :)

I'd suggest staying away from anything with bleach even though you hear that's what you need for mold.  Maybe short of LC's idea (which will certainly get you in the doghouse with the wife!!) is to soak it in a bucket full of warm water and baking soda for a while, scrubbing the particularly bad areas, then rinse it thoroughly and let it air dry.  If it's particularly greasy or dirty, you may need some laundry detergent as well to cut through that.  Good luck, let us know how it turns out!  thumb1
