Still dripping cosmo from that action.  Might have to get this one cleaned up.  It does have decent wood for a furb.

Very nice M59. Man, I haven't heard anybody mention Dan's Ammo for quite a while. Wasn't even sure he was still around.
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Yea its prob been 8 months since I bought something from them.  I looked at their website not long ago and they are down to nothing in inventory.  I think they are going the way of SOG.   Not sure how old Dan is but with surplus in general getting thinner its a probable they are almost gone.

I got an M1 Winchester carbine from him not too long ago. He is alive and kicking but inventory moves quickly these days…

Very nice carbine there.  Dan's is a definite straight shooter in my book.  Would love to buy from him again, he just hasn't had anything I've wanted in a *very* long time :(

Very nice! I like the M59s and I love that wood  8) thumb1 It doesn't appear to be the standard elm. Looks more like walnut to me. I've got an M59 that I think is also in a walnut stock. Should be back a few pages on this sub-forum  chuckles1 ...

Agreed... I think the last purchase I had from them was for some flares.  Last rifle purchase was those Beretta Olympia's from a few years back.

Thanks. To be clear, I know the vast majority of Yugoslavian SKS (and M48 Mauser) stocks are elm, but they definitely had some walnut Mauser stocks and it’s likely there were some SKS stocks that were walnut (but certainly not teak).

Here is a Yugo oddity.. certainly not elm.. definitely not teak..

I read somewhere, they used a type of oak on the Mausers as well.. cause I have an odd one of them too. The hand guard on both the SKS above and the Mauser are elm..
