Wow that is a minimalist small game rifle. Bolt action with tube magazine?

Very interesting concept. At 15.8oz that is a very light "rifle/fishing rod". Yes, a bit spendy at 425.00. I didn't fully understand if all the 'fishing' stuff was included or not. It priced the reel separate. Even the trigger guard was 12.00 extra. All said, my preference would be to have it in a .22mag over the .22LR. A bit more range and pop for larger game. Just my worthless .02cents worth.

.22 mag would've been great. .22lr does the job for me though. Definitely expensive! I agree. I wanted to treat myself though.

& nope, no mag or tube. Single shot. You pull the release, it twists sideways, you put the round in & rotate it back. Fire, repeat. Each time you just hit the little ejecter after you open it up.

Super simple design

The vid might give you guys a better idea of how it works, particularly around the 0:43 second mark

Oh right, should have looked at the second to last picture. A solid rod, not a tube.

Certainly looks a lot more robust than the Henry floating survival rifle

Carbon fiber....aluminum and stainless steel, reads like a import car wide body kit  chuckles1   Guess it won't rust. thumb1

Interesting barrel design, liner wrapped in carbon fiber.. both strong and light.

Oh... they got a................laser... and a scope setup.. no muzzle brake or forward grip, I mean the black colored rifle might need it. rofl2 I was stumped over why it did have a trigger guard in your photos,, strange they offer it as an accessory.

Most definitely an interesting design.  thumb1   How or what are the factory style sights like, I saw they had an adjustable rear sight listed..
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun – take the cannoli.

Initially I was interested in the Henry. I (obviously) went with this instead. As far as I know they're not a very big company, at least when it comes to their gun department. Smaller family operation IIRC. Sometimes those are where you find the coolest stuff IMO. This gun is totally worth it (to me).

Guess it won't rust. thumb1

All reasons I pulled the trigger on it  thumb1

I thought it was strange that it didn't come with a trigger guard either. Especially for the price. Not that big of a deal, but would've been nice.

I was a little dissapointed that it didn't accept glock mags.  rofl2 jk jk

I just spent a little time on their website: https://www.packrifle.com/

Appears that absolutely everything is an option available for purchase.

Cool concept. I actually like the single shot rifle idea for a wilderness/survival gun. It sorta forces you to put some thought into each shot.
There is only one review so far. There was some stuff about the trigger manipulation that I thought was interesting.

Yep! I've actually learned to put my finger on the very bottom/"point" of the trigger and pull that way since it "curls."

There's a little but of a learning curve. I didn't have much trouble though. I've made myself a few squirrel burgers with her already  :)

I'm also a fan of single shots for hunting. It really does make you make each shot count. When it comes to a survival gun, I think that's a pro if conservation of ammo is a concern.
