Ghost rifle?
« on: November 02, 2023, 12:11:53 AM »
I bought this cosmoline covered Type 56 at auction. When it arrived I noticed that there are no markings except for the five digit serial number. It's all matching. Could this be a ghost rifle?

You are correct, great score thumb1 The earliest Type 56, with the exception of the first 2000 with a Tula star. From the portions shown, that stock appears to be in very good condition.

Sweet mine is only 993 numbers after yours. Mine is 60932 and also imported by IO Inc Palm Bay, Florida. These were imported from Albania.

Here's mine.

Thank you, I like the fact yours is matching. The trench art is what drew me to mine, well my wife found the rifle actually and pointed out the trench art out to me.
