Spring Cleaning .22
« on: March 31, 2023, 12:12:09 AM »
Decided to pull out a few things to wipe down and clean and came across these old German .22’s

Don’t shoot them often but I always liked the look of these old Mausers .

Really nice finish and very well made !

They’re definitely pretty and very well built shooters. That deep commercial rust-bluing is beautiful!

Pretty stocks too, very nice indeed!  What era are these guns from?  Post WWII?

I'm really liking the one in front with the bent bolt. Beautiful stock
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Thanks

The top 2 date pre war and are proof marked crown/N

The bottom one with the tiger stripe stock is model mm410b and is proof marked eagle/N placing it early war period .. not many .22’s were made during this period due to the demand of military weapons .. lots of great history from this era  thumb1
