Title: Type 38 and Bayonet

The Type 38, successor to the Type 30. It's the same caliber, 6.5x50 Arisaka, but this rifle was the fix for the short lived Type 30, and eventually led to the development of the Type 99 and the 7.7mm Japanese .

Nice Koishikawa. That one definitely was not some depot/armory prize after the surrender, that thing was issued & used.
I was confronted with a Mukden T38 in a pawn shop the other day. Too bad it was chopped up  :(
One day I'll find a nice Mukden or Jinsen for the safe.

I would buy another thumb1 very interesting rifle. It's kind of neat how factories like Toyoda Automatic Loom and a few others are still around. Toyoda Automatic Loom is now Toyota, another factory became modern day Panasonic. And the bayonets, sheesh, they cost almost as much as a rifle does.

Any chance of a pic of the serial number on the pommel of the bayonet? It looks like an interesting refurbished example. Thank you for your time.

That is a nice Type 38!  That Type 30 bayonet with a hooked quillon and frog is a great addition!

For those happening upon this thread who are unfamiliar with Japanese markings this is a good quick reference site.
