That is Awesome :o Cool norinco box. Never seen that1. What's the manufacture year on that?
I've ended up collecting different Norinco ammo lately but down here...its a grind hunting down old ammo that made it in before the final ban of 1994. Its fun when you do find a new to you box or caliber though. You can go months w/o seeing any then a small stash will pop up in local pawn or gun shops.
So....if you find yourself covered up with empty boxes after a day at the range and need a place to dispose of a couple empties.... I could help you out :))
Cool that its a 1200 count case as well. How much does that set you back $ ?

This is new 2016 commercial production (we can still get Chinese stuff up here), non-corrosive. Doesn't come in the usual surplus wooden crate+spam cans - just boxed up inside a plastic bag with a wooden liner top and bottom. Aprx US$270 for the 1200rds.

Very cool man. Thanks for the pics of all the sides thumb1 Every color and caliber box is a lil different. Would you happen to have any other norinco ammo? Is it Berdan or boxer primed? Thanks again Luke, there are quite a few of us Norinco collectors around, so its neat to see the new stuff.

I've used a fair bit of their surplus 5.56 and some of their older spam can 7.62x39, but those were just plain white box (5.56) or paper wrapped (7.62). This new stuff is berdan primed also and the only Norinco ammo I have right now. If you really want a few of the boxes to collect, PM me your address and after next range visit I'll put some in the mail your way.

Somewhere I have got a blue box of Chinese/Norinco 9mm Luger ammo... And I have a red box and a green box of the Norinco x39, but I cant find them. :(
The 308 stuff I actually found a dozen boxes at a flea market...took'em all. :)

I've seen some Norinco silver box stuff too in the past, but wasn't mine.
Soooo....what now, I'm supposed to hang on to ammo boxes too to collect? That's another rabbit hole I don't need to fall into right now LOL! Interesting to see some of the older stuff though no doubt. thumb1

Naw.. you aint gotta save them boxes.. just send us the empty boxes.. It's called recycling, going green, saving your landfills, do it for....Canada, save those landfills from them terrible Norinco ammo boxes.. rofl2
And rabbit holes are......fun, you never know whats at the bottom thumb1

I was looking at some old 54r the other day, in the wedge shaped cardboard box of 10 or 20 (i forget).
But when you take a sharpie and write the price in it, it kinda defeats the purpose of trying to sell a collectable box of ammo.

I was looking at some old 54r the other day, in the wedge shaped cardboard box of 10 or 20 (i forget).
But when you take a sharpie and write the price in it, it kinda defeats the purpose of trying to sell a collectable box of ammo.
Wish bulk 54R was as inexpensive (not to mention available) as x39!

I'll try and share a few pics tonight. I found a box of 9mm Mak last year and some 7.62x25, have a few different 7.62x39. GM, cool pics of that .308 man. I honestly haven't ran across that before.

usually wedge shaped boxes are 15 round and possibly with strippers..thats what my older Russian and Finnish is.
I have 12 different military x54r ammo types, not including the Bear ammos, Wolf, S&B, LVE, and Prvi. I only have 20 rounds of Chinese x54 that came on brass strippers. The only ammo I have ever gotten brass Mosin strippers with.
Finnish boxed, Czech training rounds, '48 Russian on strippers in box, 2 types of Bulgarian, yellow tip heavy ball and light ball, Yugoslavian,
row 2.. Czech light ball, 2 types Romanian(one silver tipped, other is not), Chinese, Albanian, and East German training rounds(loaded equal to a x39)

Most I've seen packed in those style boxes were mid/late 40s vintage in 300 rd tins. No real idea on how long or when they changed.
