Izhevsk stock re-stain
« on: June 20, 2024, 10:15:39 PM »
I bought an Izhevsk marked stock for my Izhevsk sks recently but the only problem was it had been stripped of its original finish. This is my attempt to re-create the original finish on a budget. It’s definitely not perfect but it’s close enough for me given it’s a mismatched gun anyways. What do you think?

Good save with the stock.

Saddens me to think that someone took an as-issued '54 and tacticooled it, then even had the audacity to strip the stock to add insult to injury.

Oh well, what can you do?
