Rainy crappy fall day, so what better to do than clean stuff..
And photo some things that are new..
First.. a BRNO ZKM 465 in .22 Hornet, made in 1958. I've always like the .22 Hornet.. not a loud mouthed as the larger .22 brethern, yet way more than a .22LR or .22WMR.. in it's intended range it's an awesome varmint popper. The ZKM 465 is the grandaddy to the 527.. between the two models, there was the BRNO 600 series/Fox series. Not a very common model to find in the states, these were mostly found in Europe. Near as I've found about 30k were made. This is one RTI imported from Ethiopia, the bore is perfect, and the double set trigger is awesome.
The unobtanium ZKM .22 Hornet magazines.. a small fortune in them alone. P32 helped with one, the other two... took weeks to get from overseas..
Next up... remains from a Nags Head trip with my girlfriend back in September.. I found all the common early BRNOs at a little shop in Hampton Roads Va.. Well I whipped out the C&R and blew up the card
she even bought me a bunch of magazines..
... these are RTI stamped as well... cant win them all.. but I have the BRNO Mod1, The BRNO Mod 2 and the BRNO Mod 5. All were just...nasty.. but cleaned up nicely.
Model 1 proofed in 1956
Model 2 proofed in 1972, has an adjustable Mauser style rear sight
Model 5 proofed in 1958, flip up express sights like the Model 1
And what fun would it be if you didn't have the whole gang for a family shot.
