This is a Walther Flare Pistol AC42. It shoots a 26.5 flare. That is size of all more modern flare guns too. These flare guns were used by the Heer (German Army), The Kreigsmarine (German Navy) and the Luftwaffe (the German Air force).

Nice example. I like the honest wear on the edges and muzzle end showing it was carried. Checkering on the grips looks sharp and undamaged. thumb1

These flare pistols were carried in a special leather holster that had a loop for the cleaning rod.
