Im shocked
« on: May 13, 2015, 05:29:37 PM »
That there isn't an Enfield section. About a year ago, I got hold of my most favorite of the Enfields. The Enfield No.5 Mk1 "Jungle Carbine".  It was even harder to get a hold of a Bayonet for these? This JC has green paint on it that I had originally planned to clean it of, but upon some research, found that this was a common practice during the Malayan Emergency. Many of these were painted with green enamel to help aid in corrosion control from the jungle environment. When I found that out, I wanted to keep it as it came out of service, crappy green enamel and all.  But without further adue, here is my Jungle Carbine with proper bayonet.

Now that is one nice Enfield speciman there Tudorp.
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

I like to always keep them in the condition as they left military service. I weep when I see historic milsurp guns get chopped into Bubba machines.
