Title: Chinese Jing An Model Hl12-102
Post by: Greasemonkey on August 29, 2021, 12:21:24 PM
A local auction find.. it's a Chinese copy of the Ithaca Model 37, 2 3/4 inch 12ga pump that hold 4+1. Bottom feed and eject with a swappable choke design as well. 28 inch barrel. Imported after the big ban, pretty much a CJA, imported by CAI. Shockingly, it's a very smooth action.

I had one of those that I turned into a faux trench gun. Yet another one I should have never sold. Check yours to see if you can hold the trigger and discharge it while pumping the action (pump fire). I could do that with mine as it was built like the old school 37s that did not have the extra safety mechanism that prevented that. I think it was pre-1974 on the Ithaca M37s.

The Chinese may be copy-cats, but they often do it very well. Nice shotgun thumb1

Nice shotgun, GM! If they're anything like the Ithaca's that they're designed after, (copied from), then they're nice to shoot. I loved my Ithaca Model 37.  thumb1

I agree on the Chinese copies, Phos! They've done a good job on most things that they've copied so far. The 1911 A-1's are great, in my opinion. I really enjoy shooting mine. Everything is transferrable from stock 1911 A-1 parts except for the grip screw studs which are metric. Which isn't a big deal to work around.

I do wish I would have picked up one of the Polytech or Norinco copies of the M14. Missed opportunities!

I'll have to try and see if it will slide fire, I have an old pump 22lr that will.

I bought a pardner pump brand new its an 870 copy but with the hump back i am currently making it a stevens 520 copy trench gun like shotgun i put 1950's wingmaster walnut furniture on it! Better smoothness then the last 10 years of expresses that rolled out of Remington arms!
