To each his own.
Tax stamps are, in my opinion, merely paying for permission to own something that shouldn't be anyone else's business.

I just popped an old gen Nighthawk SPECOPS stock (not the NR) on my 870. $31 all in. Those things usta sell for $130!!! I'll attach the foregrip as soon as the tube tool shows up. Don't want to risk screwing it up trying to unscrew it with my needle nose pliers.
