Beretta M9 Commercial
« on: November 02, 2024, 07:39:01 PM »
After I found an AR15 in a M16A2 645 profile, I got the itch to get clones of my carry weapons in the Air Force.

Next came my AR build as a M16 604 clone, then found a S&W 15-3.

I finally found a Beretta M9 Commercial. Going to change out the hex screws for slotted screws, and change out the plastic lanyard ring out for an aluminum one. Just to make it look closer to the military version.

The M12 holster with it, is one of my actual holsters I carried/wore downrange.  Also found my drop leg holster from GWOT, 22 years after I last wore it and it still has Desert Dust in it.

Nice addition to a very cool collection based on your experience-based connection to the pieces  thumb1

One of mine which is from the earlier M9 civilian market offerings.  Most of my career I carried a .38 revolver until those were replaced in the late 80s.

Nice looking  example you have there. Love the web gear with it.

I've been going through my totes looking for my web gear. Somewhere I have a LC-1 belt with a H Harness, and a a couple LC-2 belts with Y Harnesses. Seems I keep finding miscellaneous military stuff, but what I'm actually looking for.

I carried the 38 during exercises from 86-88, amd the M9 for exercises and deployments from 88-08. Carried the M16 604 for exercises and deployments from 86-92 and the M16A2 645 from 92-08.

Thanks, the webgear was what I had at retirement.

For me .38 from 79-88, from 88 until retirement in 2006 it was the M9 except during my time in El Salvador in 1989 I carried a Browning HP and CAR15 (653).
