One I've been sitting on.. since February.. been a little busy.. and camera was missing and battery crapped out... anyways..new battery.. I have picked up a few Norinco rimfires in the past, all have been pretty decent quality, I also picked up a shotgun I'll post at some point but, I picked this up at a little local auction, it's Norincos copy of the Browning SA-22 or takedown model. Small and light, tube fed from the butt stock, and bottom eject. I have had no issues breaking it down and putting back together.

Takedowns are cool! So, I’m guessing you turn the tab recessed into the butt to rotate some type of locking mechanism?

Nope.. Thats the tube magazine.. twist and slide out, shells get fed through the port on the right side of the butt stock.

The latch is in front of the bolt on the bottom of the receiver, the knurled collar between the receiver and barrel gets turned to lock and release the barrel, once the collar is loosened, flip the latch and twist the barrel 90 degrees, install is just the opposite, install the barrel 90 degrees off, twist and tighten the collar, once all is tight lock the latch, depressing the bolt slightly helps during removal and install.

Oh, right, now I see. I've seen pictures of, but never held , a tube-feed 22 of the butt-tube variety. That's interesting too.

I had my recently acquired Henry "AR-7" in mind with it's receiver retaining-screw in the buttstock.

How the heck do you cock that thing?  I assume you pull on the silver tab at the bottom? Is it semi-auto?

The sliver part on the bottom is the bolt, just slide it back to cock it, it's semiauto.



Better pictures, hopefully these explain the take down part.. it's Browning's design...  for the receiver and barrel locking, note the groove in the forward hand rest and square pin on the receiver, it rotates one way. Once rotated the barrel and receiver threads mesh and tightens as it rotates, and the collar tightens up the remaining clearance even more,(note: the barrel threads are 90 degrees off from the receiver, they mesh when rotated and locked, disengage and separate the other way)  then the latch locks the collar and the barrel, and it's a very tight fit.
