I would guess it's pre-war or at the least very early war time production. Ok, I have no clue on the actual date, the .22 that I believe pre-dates it is the model DSM-34. There were 4 main makers, actually there were 3, one of the manufactures changed names midway through production. To look at the post war MAS 45 and this rifle, you can see a whole lot in common. And this same design went on to create quite a few high grade target rifles.
