1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Did China make a replacement laminate stock? Or, is it an aftermarket replacement of some type? I can see only one reinforcement pin. And it looks to be a spike bayo stock, so not a Russian.

Shame about the receiver cover...

Maybe not if the rest of the rifle is scrubbed.

Missing cover and bayo is good for a price beat down. PAX

The Chinese laminates are wholly different than the Russian, EG, and NK laminates.  Typically found on /26\ 11 mils in the 11,47x,xxx to 11,54x,xxx range.  Very thin plys, maybe 40 or so:

Where the Russians only used say 20:

Quite a few other differences too (some of which you've pointed out!)  thumb1

Just got an email back from the seller. His words:

"I have original receiver cover with matching #.... stock came on it that way new from gun dealer probably 25 years ago"

So, the only thing missing is the bayonet, which can be had for $10.00 or less.

I didn't think to ask him if the stock had the serial number on it.

Duh, didn't see it on the listing when I looked the first time.  I'm getting too old for this stuff!  dance2
