Very interesting and I wish I could help but, have never seen a sling like that.  Maybe a combination of "parts" from different types of slings?  Just a guess on my part but, I would like to be educated on this sling as well.  Thanks for posting it up!

Looks like a chinese sling with leather buckles added to the ends..... Possibly off a Romanian sling.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Isn't this just a regular, well worn Mosin dog collar sling?  It isn't exactly like mine...but pretty close.

Was it on a recent import from Albania..might just be a field modifaction done by a soldier there.. They carved graffiti in the stocks, whats to stop one from pop riveting leather tabs if they found the tools or had access to the tools to do it.

But I'm married too..so I'll ask the boss rofl2
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

I got this sks from Robertson trading post 3 years ago . The importer was I.O. palm bay fl , the stock had no Albanian craved graffiti on it, and rifle arrived clean as a whistle no packing grease at all. I don't think the sling was modified in anyway , as the stitching  holding the D rings match the rest of the stitching  along the sling.

Like the above have said...looks more like a Mosin sling. Albania used the Type 53 Mosin from China. Possibly a soldier converted a Mosin sling and dog collars to make it more like his buddies leather tabbed SKS sling.

Here is a d-ring Chinese sling, add some Mosin dog collars and rivets..poof instant field mod.

Keeps dragging me to pinterest....which then drags me on to fleabay..

https://www.pinterest.com/pin/74590937554745329/

Which if they were as "rare" as stated, would they be this common, just digging through some of the stuff on fleabay, I found 1 or 2 other listings claiming the same thing. One I found said like 32 sold and 2 currently available, ships from China.
