That brings back memories of years gone by :)

Nice find
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Ya had me scratching my head for a sec!  chuckles1  I thought: "Wait, I thought I clicked on Albanian SKS?"
And when I verified that I indeed had the Albanian SKS section, I was trying to see an Alby SKS but my lying eyes were showing me a Yugo SKS! My brain waves prolly looked more like pubic hair.  chuckles1

Nice looking Yugo you gotto!

There are 2 designations of M59/66. the original M59/66 did not have night sights, the M59/66A1 does.

Yep, I'd say nice condition Yugos out of a crate can easily go for $900 in my neck of the woods.

yea i just realized im in the wrong place

I merged these two topics and put them in the Yugo board where the belong.  No harm no foul.  Nice looking carbine there.  To be an A1 it needs the night sights as mentioned, but there has been considerable confusion as to whether the phosphor night sights triggered the A1 designator, and the later tritium vial sights gave the gun an A2 designator.  To my knowledge there was never a M59/66A, they went straight from no night sights to night sights and the M59/66 to M59/66A1.  thumb1

Missed this when you initially posted it OP.  Nice Yugo... and I like others tend to like them alot.  Some say they are more accurate.  I cant tell the difference personally.  Have you shot yours yet?
