GB listings for November, 2015 - Romanian
« on: December 02, 2015, 09:00:45 PM »
Only 3 Romys this month, $300.00 low, $397.00 high, $343.67 avg.  I still consider the Romy to be the best value in SKSs today.  They are built like tanks, even if they trend a bit uglier then their brethren.

Please post up any feedback (good or bad) to any one these entries.

If you have an objection or observation to add to anything I've listed, by all means call it out.  Let's all look at it long and hard (I only look at each listing for a minute or two at most, I miss things all the time and as I continually try to remind people: we simply don't have all the answers, no matter how good we'd like to think we are) and maybe everyone can learn a thing or two!  thumb1

Item Link   Description   # Bids   Final Price   Year   Arsenal Condition   Current Condition   RM's Notes
501198531   Romanian Model 56 SKS Blade Bayonet 1959   1   $397.00    1959   Uncertain   Uncertain   Possibly a nice gun here, but the 40000-foot-away photos make it impossible to tell.  Not matching per the description.  Seller has some inaccuracies in his auction such as "These were manufactured by the Romanian Cugir Factory from 1956-1962."  Sorry man, if you'd read GM's great Romy primer, you'd know that '57-60 are the dates of manufacture.
518512169   Century CAI Romanian SKS M1956 7.62x39 Blue V Good   2   $334.00    1958   Refurbished   Fair   This one is a so-so gun with the mismatch stock, but it probably has the best presentation of the three offered this month.  This was definitely a month to pass and see what popped up next I think.
527486530   Romanian SKS   1   $300.00    Uncertain   Bubba   Uncertain   Quite a bubba hack job on this one.  Not even sure if it's salvageable.  Price is certainly representative of this not being a collector's piece.

Slim pickings this month.

501198531  He always has distant shots of interesting rifles that leave me with more questions than answers.

So these Transylvanian SKSs were made from 1856-62? Who knew!  :o I need to snag me one and paint the stock day-glo green and put a biohazard symbol on it for the zombiephiles  rofl

Laugh Jon!  I didn't catch that.  thumb1

Very slim pickings this month in both Romys and Albys.  Romys are the best deal in SKSs right now though.  Demand for them must be extremely low for them to avg $200 (I lie, it's $300!!) less than an equally paltry # of Albys.
