Saigas and a Browning, oh my
« on: March 15, 2015, 04:12:13 PM »
Not being a real shotgun fanatic  ::), I've ended up with several. My first is an old family heirloom, this one predates my grandfather, an old break action singleshot H&R.  I had a pump years ago, it went by the wayside in favor of an Browning Auto 5. Then I stumbled on a Saiga 12 when they were released, being an Ak, I couldn't help myself. I mean, come on it's an Ak, that eats big shotgun shells, what's not to love? And during the recent Russian import ban, I managed to dig up a Saiga 410, for $350, with some goodies thrown in :o thumb1

I wish they would make a Saiga 10 :o  chuckles1

Oldie but a goodie, it still barks and kicks like a mule.

A classic beauty, made in 1961.

This is the 12, a big toy, but function is flawless, and it eats anything.

It's slowly evolving, and it also has the adjustable gas plug installed, it will now cycle the weakest loads with ease, and chew through the hot stuff. The drum has been flawless, a pain to load, and is heavy, but fun to empty thumb1  Nothing says "I love you" quite like 20 rds of 12 gauge buckshot, or slugs :o squeezed off. thumb1

The 410, I've run one drum through it, this was a condition of me buying it. No issues, so it came home to meet it's big brother.

I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Sheesh, those Saigas must be from Badashistan!  20 rounds of #00 buckshot sure would put the holes in some holy warriors over in Mess-o-potamia.

That vintage wire-wrapped H&R is pretty cool too.  That must be the Ishapore variant for launching grenades  Besplode  :))

Nice group of shottys there Gm. Always said I was gonna buy one of those Saiga 410s and never pulled the trigger on one.(both literally and figuratively, lol)
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Browning sure is nice.... bit long though.   Ever think about making it 18"?

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Why bat1  Model 11 Military, the Auto 5 copy had a 22" barrel, why would I need 18".   If I had to drop that 28 incher in a HD scenario, the end of the barrel is already half way there. chuckles1

I dunno...   It would be more tactical like the saiga.
