Marlin 39-A Mountie
« on: August 07, 2019, 06:39:16 PM »
Welp,  this isn't how I like to acquire rifles.....

My father inlaw just passed away and he left me this. Always wanted one as they are about the neatest take-down 22s I've ever seen, and VERY well made.

Marlin serial database says is a 1957/58

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Beautiful lever gun  thumb1 Glad it's staying in the family. Very sorry to hear about your FIL :(  My condolences to you and your wife. I guess it wasn't unexpected but it isn't easy regardless.

Regrettable circumstances, LC.  All the best to your family.

And perhaps a good range day might be made possible in his honor, with the cans lined up on the fence top.  Some of my best childhood memories come from times spent plinking with a Marlin (model 60).
