Hi All,
I've got a Romy receiver that I'd like to turn into a rifle. Will the clocking index number be the same with an early Chinese barrel, or am I screwed? PAX
-
Romy's and Early chinese are exact copies of the Russian guns.
My guess would be, yes.
-
I would guess yes, but it's not been tried before to my knowledge. Let us know how it goes! If it doesn't clock correctly, you can do things to correct the angle.
-
Thanks Guys,
Should I send it to Ben? PAX
-
PAX, did ya ever build up this Romy receiver? Hadn't heard any more about this, so I thought I'd ask.
I had/have? a nice Romy 10rd fixed mag for a long time. If you need one, I can look to see if I still have it. I think it was one of the "RA" serial number prefixes.
Let me know...

Hi necro thread guys. I haven't attempted to barrel this action...yet. A few other SKS projects jumped in front, a camo Para save, an 18 inch clone (also camoed :(), and a couple SARCO barreled actions that met MR. Hacksaw. I'll need the service of a Smith for the install, and I need those ducats to swap out a Sante Fe O3A3 receiver for a Remington unit.
