Title: 100 yard shots
Post by: Dannyboy53 on May 30, 2015, 01:57:18 PM
This past week I fired a few shots from my Russian and it groups tighter than any of our Chinese carbines. I attribute this to the trigger pull, it's a much shorter and smoother pull than the Chinese SKSs we have. All these shots were made at 100 yards, sitting and using a rest. The bayonet was in the stowed position, I'm going to try it soon with the bayonet extended.

I have to say (translated: bragg) I am danged proud of how well it does!

rofl rofl lol LC did indeed trade me a very nice digital camera just so I could post pics here. Its a breeze to upload as well.  :-[  I'm a bit ocd when it comes to pics and I always plan to do a big ole write up on my new to me rifles ( and my new found love of tokarevs). Photobucket seems to crash my comp and I'm super busy these days....but those are still some sorry excuses huh?  Been meaning to post up my last 2 SKS's just so RM doesn't think mosinitus has ate my brain.

Tell ya what Danny I've got some time tomorrow....So what ya feel like seeing 1st? I'll post up some for ya.

There's a few I've got up in the mosin and soviet arms section. Hate to say it but now that you mention it... I have yet to post up any SKS's.... :-[ :-[ :-[

Wow now that I look on it.....Thanks for the Kick in the pants Danny and Cannon thanks again for the awesome camera. Hopefully the rain will hold off a bit tomorrow for some good natural light.

Nice work and welcome to the Russian club. That dog'll hunt. What's up with that steel case though? I thought you've been loading x39. Or am I imagining things again?

I still say we need to do a SKS shoot out. Screw it. I'm setting it up. I'll kick it off on Tuesday. I will relax the 'you must be taller than 34" to shoot SKS' rule so even RM can join in. Someone might have to send him a high chair or some phone books or something so he can see over the shooting bench though. Whatever. Ya'll can figure it out. Let's shoot.

Thanks Blicero, No I haven't started reloading x39 but may in the future.

I'm all for the shoot out Kevin! What's the rules, and how do we go about it...still @ 100 yards, # of rounds, etc?
