Cool! I dig the looks with the wood and the perforated barrel shroud  8)

What are the functions of the fittings up front? Looks almost like a bayonet lug.

18-ish inch barrel?

You lucky dog!!!

Thats a bayo lug alright  thumb1 Thats a norinco copy of the Winchester 97 trench gun or the Stevens 520 Trench gun IIRC. The bayo that went on the originals was basically  a short sword.

Awesome man just awesome. Course I'm partial to anything Norinco  :))

I wanna see the bayo.   :)

Got one of these guns. They didn't come with bayo up here but take the original winchester 97 bayo.

It uses the same bayonet as a M1917 Enfield. All seven of the standard issue US military shotguns up until Vietnam with bayonet lugs use this same bayonet. In Vietnam, they switched to the M7 bayonet on shotguns.

M1917: 17" blade, 21.75" OAL. The blades almost as long as the barrel on that 97  :))

Cool 97. I have an original fixed barrel job that I did a complete refurb on. The take down guns had soft threads and most all of them your going to see have loose barrels or tensioners at their end. Good Norinco did the fixed barrel. Question is, is it still a slam fire action? My 1897 has it in case your swarmed by zombies, just hold the trigger back and pump away just like the old Ithaca 37's.
