« on: January 11, 2020, 09:53:05 PM »
Howdy, been a while. I have picked up a few new toys since my last visit. I'll start with this baby with a mirror shiny barrel. Paid $275

Very nice!  I love the Finnish stocks. Mine is 1820 serial numbers higher.

I picked up another B barrel recently along with a new all matching Westinghouse and some others I'll try to share in the next few days.

I'd like a couple more shots of that oh-so-sexy receiver.

I'll take some more tomorrow. I am interested and wondering why there's a 7.62 stamped on the barrel to the left. Also, are the squiggly lines on the left side of the barrel, the leige marks?

7.62mm is the caliber (7.62x54mm), Z is inspector Theodore Degobort, then the Liege proof mark. All three of those marks were done in Belgium.

I knew the caliber, I've just never seen it stamped into a barrel before. Thanks!

You’re welcome. I assumed you knew the chambering, just pointing out that particular  caliber marking is part of the Belgian proof house markings on the “B barrels”.

My '42 "B" barrel is around 25K higher in serial.. it has no VKT stamp on the barrel shank.. Strangely, when I tore it down and cleaned the gunk out, I was rewarded with a M27 trigger setup, talk about a sweet trigger.  thumb1
