« on: July 07, 2020, 05:00:39 PM »
Its not a chevy... but Ill take it.  Noticed on the boards its been a while since some one had posted something so with business a little slow this afternoon I thought I would share this rifle.  I have not shot it yet... as I have several other shooter sks's.  Any one know how many were produced in 57?

Nice!  thumb1 I love the Romanian SKSs. I have a 1957 DE block as well.

Based on serial number data collected, about 6K, or 10% of total Romanian production, were made in 1957.

A Romy! I didn't think these were out there anymore. Nobody talks or posts about them.

Good stuff Bmont!

I heard that.

Another country that I've never even seen in person.

I'd like to see a bit more of that sling.

Nice Romy! Is that an all-matching '57?  I don't see that many all-matching Romy's and yours looks like a nice example.
Regardless, it's a nice one! Thanks for sharing. I like that it's got a matching, correct sling, too.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Morning every one... busy week.  Thank you for the comments on this one.  Picked up about a year ago or so now and this one is all matching and fairly clean to most that I have seen.... which has not been many.

The sling on this one did not come with the rifle and it was a little hard to find but one did come my way about 6 months back now... I think I paid almost 80 bucks for the sling alone.  Weird how some things go... I normally would not spend that much for a sling but these rifles have... as you can see a a particular type.

Thanks for the info Phosphorus32 I wasnt sure of that year production but thought it must be smaller than the rest because this one the first 57 I have seen in person.

Happy Friday every one!
